R Gauge Tool

This tool is be best used when there is something keeping you from using a standard straight edge, such as another shoe or the shoe is buried in the clay.

How to use the R-Tool:

To us the R-Tool, gently place the legs of the tool against the points of the shoe being measured and lean the tool against the stake.  Shine a light from the opposite side and see if you can see an unbroken beam of light between the sake and the R-Tool at the second bar of the tool.  If you can see the unbroken beam of light, it is a ringer!  If the top of the R-Tool does not touch the stake, it is NOT a ringer.
